Description:

High glycogenic and anti-inflammatory power corticosteroid. With high therapeutic levels: 7-10 days.


Composition:

Each 1 ml contains:

Dexamethasone-21-isonicotinate 3 mg

Indications:

Diseases of the musculoskeletal and respiratory systems, as well as coetaneous diseases that require prolonged corticosteroid therapy.

Horses: Chronic bronchitis, pulmonary alveolar emphysema, dermatitis, eczema, non-septic arthritis and arthrosis, podotrocleosis, sprains, claudication of unknown origin, scabies.

Cattle: Acetonemia, puerperal paresis, ante and postpartum paraplegia, tetanus, indigestion, non-septic arthritis, tenosynovitis, bursitis.

Swine: Agalactia, non-septic arthritis, eclampsia, poisoning, edematous disease, prevention of shock.

Dogs and Cats: Nonspecific itching, eczema and dermatitis, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, non-septic arthritis, sprains.


Therapeutic Action:

Corticotherapy requires the use of substances with a powerful, rapid, safe and long-lasting action in certain diseases of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory system and skin. Dexatop and Dexatop LA have these properties thanks to the crystal size of dexamethasone.

The clinical action of Dexatop LA manifests itself 24 hours after its administration and is maintained for 10-14 days. Its tolerance is very good, practically lacking side effects. It should even be noted that after administration there are no laminitis problems in Horses, as usually happens after the application of other corticosteroids.


Dosage and Administration:

Apply IM or IV.

Horses and Cattles: 0.06 mg/kg b.w. (2 ml/100 kg b.w.).

Swine, Sheep and Goats: 0.06 mg/kg b.w. (0.2 ml/10 kg b.w.).

Small Dogs and Cats: 0.30 mg/kg b.w. (0,1 ml /kg b.w.).

Dogs (more than 20 Kg): 0.22 mg/kg b.w. (0.075 ml/kg b.w.).
